Teri Mantere is a Finnish-Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music blends intricate melodies, introspective lyrics, and a unique fusion of pop, jazz, and folk influences. Based in Helsinki, Mantere is known for his virtuosic guitar work, dynamic vocal range, and captivating live performances, where he utilizes loop pedals and vocal effects to create layered, immersive soundscapes—all without the use of backing tracks. A skilled performer and songwriter, Mantere formed Teri Mantere & The Manta Rays in 2014, an ensemble known for its rich, jazz-infused arrangements. His 2020 debut album, Everything Needs to Breathe, released via Eclipse Music, showcases his distinctive songwriting and sonic versatility. In addition to his solo work, Mantere is a regular member of The Voice of Finland band and has worked on various television productions, including Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu and Eurovision.
